PROJECT: Erie County Sewer District No. 3 – Southtowns Influent & ORF Improvements
Project Details:
Owner – Erie County DEP
Contract Value – $7.4 Million
Year – 2014 – 2016
Scope – Prime General Contractor to Provide Influent Sewage and Overflow Retention Facility Improvements including
- Mass excavation for new cast in place concrete wet well, pump station and valve vault to a depth of 28’ below grade including steel sheeting with tie backs and rock removal
- New underground cast in place concrete wet well, pump station and valve vault structures
- Construction of new control building adjacent to existing treatment facility and above new wet well / tunnel to existing influent channel
- Installation of new cast in place concrete walls and steel catwalk at existing ORF to assist with treatment upgrades
- Installation of new pumps, 20”, 24” & 42” pipe, valves and fittings at new pump station
- Site underground 16”, 24” and 42” ductile iron force main piping including precast concrete structures
- Relocation of existing water, gas & storm piping
- Installation of multiple sluice gates within new pump station wet well and existing treatment facility influent channel.
- Installation of new chemical tanks and piping
- Various upgrades throughout existing treatment facility
- Reconstruction of existing asphalt roadways and concrete curbs
- Commissioning of new pump station and equipment
