190 Bridge 24 Inch Water

Scope – As a team member of Oakgrove Construction Company, a reputable local road & bridge contractor, Kandey was subcontracted for the installation of the new twin 24” water mains.

There were a few phases of this project including underground piping from existing 24” parallel water mains to new bridge location which also included rock removal and detailed maintenance and protection of traffic.

However, the most interesting phase of the project was the installation of the parallel 24” ductile iron TR Flex pre-insulated pipe suspended from the new bridge steel.

With support from Barnhart Northeast, Kandey installed a total of 1600 LF of ductile iron pipe across the bridge in record time, gaining schedule time for the general contractor to complete their tasks.
