Kandey Company Inc. is a site and utility contractor specializing in civil engineering construction and has been providing quality services throughout the Buffalo and Western New York areas since 1984.
Our company has various areas of expertise including sewer, watermain and underground gas installations, horizontal cased and directional bores, road and bridge construction and rehabilitation, excavation and trenching, water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades, and pump station construction and rehabilitation.
In June 2010 Kandey Company was awarded the 26.4 million dollar Parker-Fries Sewer Interceptor Project. Construction was completed in the Fall of 2012. We replaced the sanitary sewer system to prevent further collapsing which caused sewer line back-ups, as well as eliminated overflows from the sanitary sewer to the storm sewers during periods of high flow.
In May 2009, Kandey Company completed a 10.5 million dollar project with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Association (NFTA) cleaning up chemical de-icing agents for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. This unique, natural solution system was the first in the United States to employ aerated ponds filled with aggregate and an integral piping system to breakdown glycol, the chemical used to de-ice planes. The gravel filter ponds convert toxic liquid to a harmless mixture of water and carbon dioxide.
